Educating Tomorrow's Leaders

A major goal of the Cardiac & Vascular Institute is to provide medical students and staff physicians with interdisciplinary training, reflecting the shifting technological and clinical focus of cardiovascular medicine. Our programs attract physicians-in-training, physicians, researchers, and other healthcare professionals from the world over.

The creation of the Cardiac & Vascular Institute at NYU Medical Center brings together our translational research efforts, cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, interventional radiologists, and vascular, cardiac, and thoracic surgeons into a single team to meet the needs of adults and children suffering from cardiac and vascular diseases.
