Clinical Rotations
The NYU/Bellevue Residency in Emergency Medicine is a four-year program with sixteen residents in each class. The first year provides a substantial inpatient and ICU experience in order to expose the new house officer to the basic principles of surgery, pediatrics, and internal medicine. (more)
Didactic Education
Clinical experiences are enhanced by formal didactic sessions, including a daily Morning Report and the Wednesday Departmental Conference. Overall, residents are exposed to eight hours of formal didactic instruction each week. (more)
Academic Development
Beginning in the second year, each resident is encouraged to develop an area of interest under the mentorship of an assigned faculty physician. The residents have the opportunity to gain expertise in fields such as EMS, ultrasound, pediatrics, international medicine, medical student education, and administration. (more)
