Cultivating the Humanistic Physician-Scholar
The central goal of the curriculum is to create leaders in every field of medical endeavor, to create physician-scholars who approach the practice of medicine with intellectual discipline, compassion, and professionalism. Throughout their careers, such individuals will apply the scientific method and critical thinking to advance both patient care and medical knowledge.
Curriculum reform is constant. Continuing efforts are made to identify the factors that will better enable students to use the scientific principles of medicine in the evaluation and treatment of the sick. In this process, students work closely with the faculty to contribute to the improvement of the educational program.
