Solomon A. Berson Medical Alumni Achievement Award given to Edward Fisher, MD, Ph.D.

The Solomon A. Berson Alumni Achievement Award in Basic Science is awarded to a graduate of the NYU School of Medicine who has distinguished himself or herself by major accomplishments in fundamental scientific research.  Dr. Fisher, the Leon H. Charney Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine, is Director of the Marc and Ruti Bell Vascular Biology Program and the NYU Center for  the Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease.  Dr. Fisher’s research focuses on mechanisms related to risk factors causing coronary artery disease.
