Dr. William Slater, an Associate Professor of Medicine, has received the 2007 New York University Distinguished Teaching Award. The award is presented annually to recognized faculty who have contributed significantly to the intellectual life of the University through their teaching. Recipients of the award will have demonstrated their excellence as educators over a sustained period of time. Dr. Slater serves as the Director of the Bellevue Cardiology Consult Service and has previously been recognized as Teacher of the Year within the Division of Cardiology and the Department of Medicine Housestaff.
