Our cardiology fellowship is both a strong program of clinical instruction and a fertile training ground for academic careers. Of our greater than 50 graduates of the last 10 years, more than 40% have become full-time members of medical school faculties throughout the United States.
The three-year Training Program in Cardiovascular Disease is the largest of our fellowships, currently with 22 trainees enrolled. This program is conducted at Bellevue Hospital Center, Tisch Hospital, and the VA Medical Center, and is staffed solely by the faculty of the NYU School of Medicine. The fundamental mission of the program is to prepare selected individuals for careers in academic cardiology, utilizing the broad clinical experience, extensive facilities, and many research opportunities available at NYU Medical Center.
In addition, the Division offers accredited one-year sub-specialty fellowship programs in Interventional Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, as well as a non-accredited one-year sub-specialty fellowship program in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging (jointly with the Department of Radiology).
