
The Eastern Chapter of the American Society of Hypertension featured presentations by three DGIM-associated researchers at its 25th Annual Young Investigators Research Awards Competition.
Ankit Parikh, a fourth year NYU medical student working with Dr. Sundar Natarajan, won the Clinical Research Award for his presentation entitled, "Does a Dash-Like Diet Reduce Mortality? Findings from a Population-Based Survey".
Donald Robinaugh, a PhD candidate at the VA Medical Center and also working with Dr. Sundar Natarajan's team, presented his work, "Concerning Discrepancies in Blood Pressure Measurement".
Nirav Shah, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor of Medicine discussed his work entitled, "Assessment of First-Fill Adherence Rates for Patients with Hypertension Using Linked EHR and Claims Data".
