Internal Medicine Club Mission Statement

The purpose of the NYU School of Medicine Internal Medicine Club, in partnership with the American College of Physicians (ACP) will be:

* To provide information to students about internal medicine as a medical specialty and as a possible career

* Expose students to the field of internal medicine and provide students with a sense of what it is like to be an internist

* To allow students to learn from experts in the field through shadowing and discussion groups

* To create educational and mentoring and volunteer opportunities that are unique to medicine

* To create relationships between medical students interested in medicine and internists at the New York University Medical Center

* To facilitate student involvement in local, regional, and national ACP activities and to utilize the resources of the ACP, such as the Medical Student Mentoring Program
