Fellowship Training Program in the Division of Rheumatology

The Division of Rheumatology offers a Rheumatology Fellowship Program that emphasizes the scienti?c and scholarly aspects of the study of musculoskeletal and autoimmune diseases. The program accommodates a spectrum of interests ranging from the clinical to the almost purely scienti?c.

Applicants to the program will usually have completed two or three years of Internal Medicine or Pediatrics, and should be board eligible by the end of the first year of fellowship.

The emphasis of the program's ?rst year is on clinical pro?ciency; in the ensuing year(s) the focus is on clinical investigation or basic science research. (A third year of research training may be offered to fellows who distinguish themselves during the program.) The fellowship is supported by an NIH arthritis training grant and trains four fellows per year for two years.
