Assistant Nurse Manager, Nights: Lillian Atieno Okungo, BSN, RN
- 35 bed general medical unit
- 20 telemetry monitored beds
- 2 negative pressure isolation beds
- Primary patient population consists of adults and geriatrics, with multiple complicated disease processes including but not limited to:
- Sepsis
- CHF and COPD Exacerbations
- Neutropenic Fevers
- Permanent Pacemaker and AICD insertions
- Renal Failure
- Chronic Pain management
- Care is focused on the unique needs of the adult/elderly patients to improve outcomes, maintain safety and discharge to the appropriate setting to continue optimal care
- Evidence based practice patient care with Research Resource RNs
- Focus on Geriatrics through the Geriatric Resource RNs
- As a 16 West staff member, you will become part of the interdisciplinary team, collaborating closely with:
- Nurse Practioners
- Nursing Management
- Social Workers
- Nutritionists
- Physical Therapists
- Chest Physical Therapist
- Occupational Therapists
- Case Managers
- Nursing Attendants
- Pastoral Care
