Non-clinical positions
Labs
- responsible for phlebotomy
- review patients' lab results with attending physician, mails a letter to the patient if results are normal, or calls the patient to make an appointment if the results are abnormal and need to be discussed during a visit
- responsible for tracking patients who get bloodwork done during current clinic session for Labs Coordinator to follow through with during the week
Stats
- responsible for handing new patient intake surveys to patients
- entering and analyzing data from these surveys
Facilitator
- responsible for helping the Clinic Coordinator of the day manage clinic flow
- liaison between Area A clinic, where patients arrive and are registered by IUFH staff and Area B clinic, where NYCFC operates and patients are greeted by the undergraduates at the front desk
- ensure that patients receive all services they are intended to receive before leaving the clinic (e.g. labs, pharmacy, referrals, follow-up appointment)
Referrals
- review previous patients' consult reports with attending physician from Bellevue specialty referral clinics and sends them for scanning into EMR system
- meet with patients that need a specialty referral to Bellevue Hospital Center
- enter patients' information into database for Referrals Coordinators to pick up during the week
- ensure correct paperwork is filled out by clinical teams and given to patients for their Bellevue appointment
