Overview of the Division

This unique service offers prenatal care for high-risk pregnancies as well as detailed consultations before, during, and after pregnancy. Special attention is given to multifetal pregnancies and those with medical complications, genetic counseling, and consultations for women who have experienced recurrent miscarriage or preterm deliveries. This Division of the department has generated numerous new treatment modalities for high-risk obstetrics patients and introduced new methods of diagnosis and treatment for care of the fetal patient.

Perinatologists from the Maternal Fetal Medicine Program provide coverage at the ultrasound unit, and refer patients for sonography and other procedures, working closely with the Division of Ob/Gyn Imaging.
