Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Training Program

The Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine's academic mission is to train its fellows to be physician-scientists as well as clinical gynecologists.

The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program is a three-year training program that leads to board certification in maternal-fetal medicine.

One fellow is accepted per year for the first two years of the fellowship, while 2 fellows are accepted for the third year. They begin their first year of training with clinical duties including ultrasound, then proceed to a second year in basic or clinical research with required coursework, which is followed by a third year that is split evenly between clinical duties and research.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellows rotate through three major NYU teaching hospitals (Tisch, Bellevue, and Gouverneur Hospitals), serving as consults at each one.
