The Office of Science and Research is dedicated to the mission of advancing science and improving healthcare through scientific discovery. The Office aims to support and enhance the productivity and quality of research at NYU through improved research administrative structures, facilities, and programs. We are also charged with the strategic planning of research at NYU Langone Medical Center with a focus on programmatic growth and collaborative initiatives.

A Message from the Vice Dean for Science

"We stand at a critical juncture in the history of scientific medical advancement – a point at which the next level of discovery hinges on our pursuit of excellence and collaboration in our scientific and medical endeavors. Our goal is to continue to make outstanding discoveries and to advance science. At the same time, we have a responsibility to accelerate the transition from “bench to bedside to community” – that is, to bring science to the place of clinical application that impacts the community at large. We face the opportunity to change disease management for the better at a greater capacity and more efficient rate than ever before and we will meet this opportunity with great force.

The Office will facilitate the establishment of research priorities, enhance research administration and facilitate interdisciplinary academic relationships and synergies among NYU Langone Medical Center’s researchers, clinical investigators and educators.
