The objectives of the NYU Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship Training Program are to provide an environment for acquiring the following:
- clinical experience in diagnosis and management of children with a variety of endocrine disorders as outlined below
- knowledge of basic physiology of hormone secretion and action, including hormone receptors and molecular mechanisms underlying endocrine disorders
- research experience in clinical and laboratory investigation through instruction in experimental design and supervised bench work, which must lead to productive research for publication in peer reviewed journals
- acquisition of new knowledge by ongoing literature search
- experience in teaching and administration.
