Objectives

The objectives of the NYU Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship Training Program are to provide an environment for acquiring the following:

1. clinical experience in diagnosis and management of children with a variety of endocrine disorders as outlined below
2. knowledge of basic physiology of hormone secretion and action, including hormone receptors and molecular mechanisms underlying endocrine disorders
3. research experience in clinical and laboratory investigation through instruction in experimental design and supervised bench work, which must lead to productive research for publication in peer reviewed journals
4. acquisition of new knowledge by ongoing literature search
5. experience in teaching and administration.
