Tisch University Hospital - tertiary care facility which draws patients from New York City and the surrounding tri-state area
Bellevue Hospital - flag-ship of the City Hospitals which has provided care to the inner city population of New York for 200 years. In August 2005 it was inspected by the Joint Commission of American Hospitals who ranked it in the top 1 percent of hospitals in the Nation.
Outpatient Clinical Facilities
The Hassenfeld Center for Children with Cancer or Chronic Blood Disorders. This "Day Hospital" provides state of the art comprehensive care with an emphasis on psychosocial support for the patients and their families.
Bellevue Hematology clinics - take place in a stunning new facility opened in 2005 and designed by I M Pei. The many different blood disorders seen there reflect the ethnic diversity of New York City.
Research Facilities
NYU Cancer Center: The Pediatric Oncology program is an integral part of this National Cancer Institute designated Center and has access to all its facilities. In addition the Pediatric Oncology program is a member of Children's Oncology Group.
Research Laboratories are housed in the Medical school, the Skirball Institute for Biomolecular Medicine, Tisch Hospital and Bellevue. A new research building, the Smilow Research Institute will open in 2006.
