Since 1885 when we opened the first babies’ ward in the country, up to the present day, we have been at the forefront of medicine, patient care, education, and research in all areas of pediatrics.

This new children’s care center at 160 East 32nd Street in New York City is the next step toward building the NYU Children’s Hospital—the Hospital with a Heart— a special place that integrates the full range of extraordinary advances in medicine being made on the NYU Medical Center campus.

• Team-based pediatric medicine under one roof—cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, nephrology, gastroenterology, orthopedic oncology, and more…
• Holistic approach to care emphasizing lifelong wellness through music and art therapy, nutrition, and exercise and relaxation techniques such as yoga, Reiki, and guided imagery
• Integration with the Stephen D. Hassenfeld Childen’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, one of the nation’s premier treatment centers for pediatric cancer and blood diseases
• Audiology, echocardiology, and other diagnostic labs
• Family Health Resource Center, staffed with a librarian to assist families
