The NYU School of Medicine Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship Program is a three-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship focused on the assessment and treatment of children with developmental and behavioral disorders.
About the Fellowship
The purpose of the fellowship program is to focus on, and expertly develop the clinical skills of pediatricians in the assessment and treatment of children with developmental and behavioral disorders.
Clinical Experience
Clinical experience and skills are acquired by participation in a variety of clinics and programs throughout the medical center.
Assessment Skills
The program provides fellows with the opportunity to become proficient in the administration of several different measures of child development.
Research Experience
Fellows are expected to initiate or participate in a clinical research project under the direction of the faculty.
Coursework
To provide the appropriate background in research methods, fellows attend a course in biostatistical analysis and research design taught by our faculty.
Teaching Experience
Fellows supervise residents and medical students in all clinical sites, participate in curriculum development and evaluation, and prepare and present lectures.
How to Apply
Fellowship candidates must complete three years of pediatric residency in an accredited training program, and be eligible for a New York State medical license.
