Department of Pediatrics Summer Research Fellowship

Description
The NYU School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics offers a Medical Student Summer Research Fellowship each summer. The Fellowship consists of an eight week program, in which each student is placed with a clinical or basic science researcher either in general pediatrics or in one of the pediatric subspecialties.

This fellowship is targeted to first year medical students, who would participate during the summer between first and second year. However, other students interested in research within the department could also find a placement through the same contact.

The fellowship would start approximately one week after the first year students complete their classes. However, this start date could be flexible.

Students participating in the fellowship have opportunities for experiences in clinical pediatrics during the summer.

The Fellowship co-Directors are Alan Mendelsohn, M.D., and Shonna Yin, M.D., M.S.
