Pediatric Residency Program

Tisch Hospital Pediatric Emergency Medicine Program

The Tisch Hospital Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Program provides the highest level state of the art care to all pediatric patients presenting for treatment. The program continues to expand and thrive and currently provides pediatric emergency medicine attending coverage for a significant portion of each day.

Ill and injured children presenting for care receive treatment in an area that continues to become increasingly child friendly and family focused.

The PEM attending physicians providing coverage to Tisch Hospital are fellowship trained and board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine and provide the highest level of care available to ill and injured children. Attending physicians in surgical and non-surgical pediatric specialties and subspecialties are on call and available on a 24 hour a day basis to the Emergency Department.

Children requiring admission are admitted to the state-of-the-art Tisch Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or inpatient pediatric unit as a component of the continuum of care.

Tisch Hospital is a premier hospital in the New York state region and is a teaching hospital for the New York University School of Medicine.
