Child Development and Protection CenterThe Frances L. Loeb Child Protection and Development Center at Bellevue addresses the unique needs of physically and sexually abused children in the greater New York City metropolitan area by providing the following services:

  • forensic child abuse evaluation, treatment, and referrals,

  • extensive child advocacy and coordination with child protection and enforcement agencies,

  • crisis intervention and short-term counseling,

  • expert consultation and testimony.


  • social work and forensic medical services for adolescents who have been victims of a crime such as assault, stab wounds, gun shot wounds, dating violence, rape/sexual assault

Our multidisciplinary child protection team, consisting of specially trained pediatricians, nurses, social workers, child development specialists, and psychologists, seeks to minimize psychological trauma by providing treatment that is age-appropriate, child-focused, and comprehensive.
