Fellowship Program Goals and Objectives

• To train qualified pediatric specialists in the field of neonatology by the development of clinical skills including:
  • the clinical management of a wide variety of acute and chronic neonatal illnesses
    
    
  • the development of specific technical skills necessary for neonatal care
    
    
  • the development of teaching skills
    
    
  • the development of interpersonal and leadership skills necessary for the management of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
    
    
• To give the fellow experience with clinical research and an in-depth experience in laboratory research that might form the basis of future academic work.
  
  
• To provide the trainee with the education and opportunities which will allow a clinical or academic career in Neonatology
