Improving access to clinical trials for HIV-infected children, youth, and women has been an ongoing objective of Ryan White Title IV programs in general and of the Consortium, specifically.

The Lower New York Consortium's close affiliation with the NYU/Bellevue Pediatric AIDS Clinical Trials and the NYU Adult AIDS Clinical Trial Unit helps decrease institutional barriers to referral for treatment protocols. Consortium clients are routinely referred to the ACTUs for protocol treatment evaluation.
