Clinical Education Program Research Experience

A basic understanding of research methodology is essential for the practice of evidence-based clinical care. Residents are introduced to research methodology through regularly scheduled Journal Club sessions and Medical Information Management seminars.

Residents are strongly encouraged to take an elective in clinincal research to gain direct experience with a clinical or bentch project, mentored by full-time members of the Pediatrics faculty.

An award and stipend for the best research project by a resident in training is given at the completion of each academic year.
