The hallmark of radiation oncology at NYU is our dedication to quality assurance. Every patient who seeks our help has his or her situation discussed by the entire senior medical staff. You will not be an exception! Unlike facilities that are too big or too small to permit this oversight, we start every morning with a one-hour patient review and quality assurance conference. This conference is attended by all our senior staff -- physicians, physicists, nurses and supervisory technical staff -- to ensure that every aspect of each new patient's care has been considered and that all of the details of high-quality care are in place. In this collegial setting, every patient's history is discussed, every pertinent film is reviewed, and every treatment plan is evaluated.
