Cancer
The
expansion of the NYU Cancer
Institute basic and translational research programs will occupy
three floors of the Smilow Research Center.
We are seeking two or three new tenure track faculty engaged in
research related to cancer. Academic appointments will be one of
the basic science or clinical departments. We expect these positions
will be at the Assistant Professor level, although Associate or
Professor level recruitments will be considered. Areas of interest
include, but are not limited to, Animal Models of Cancer, DNA
damage and Checkpoint Control, Molecular Control of Cell Proliferation
and Stem Cell Biology. Investigators whose research will enhance
the translation of basic research findings into new therapeutic
interventions and the design of new clinical trials are encouraged
to apply. Successful applicants should hold an MD and/or PhD with
established reputations in these areas of research.
Recruitment for the program will be led by Drs.
Steven
Burakoff, Director and Mark
Philips, Deputy Director.
